Catch these hilarious comedians live on stage!

He hails from the sprawling metropolis of Bloemfontein. Phil found himself in the melting pot of Cape Town in 2012 as a media and events coordinator, radio broadcaster, English teacher and self-proclaimed “pancake expert”. Above all, he hoped to make people happy. He broke into the comedy scene in 2013 at the much loved Armchair Theatre in Cape Town, which has sparked the careers for a great deal of South African comedians. Ever since that messy first 5 minutes on stage, he was hooked decided to pursue a blend of awkward, tongue in cheek, at times self-deprecating, musical, and stand-up comedy. Things have been looking good since.

He has lived all over South Africa from Louis Trichardt (Makado) to Pietermaritzburg. His stand- up has been described as enigmatic, incorporating a combination of rant, impersonation and self effacement.

Cairns won the 2014 Good Hope FM Laughmaster Competition and subsequently performed at the 10th annual Jive Funny Fest. He is one of the producers of Down in the Basement and On a Roll Comedy.

An Afrikaans boy from George, Westley makes light of the silly things he had to go through in this small Western Cape Town.

With a no-nonsense attitude to boot, his energetic performances don’t hold him back from sharing his opinions on love, loneliness and unrepentant friendship with careful precision and unbridled shame.

Westley won Joke Slam 2015 and Muizenberg Comedy Challenge 2014 respectively. He is a regular at Cape Town Comedy and Parkers Comedy Club.

@Ya_a_seen_Him is a capetonian one-liner comedian. He is a fresh face on the local comedy scene and arguably a master of his craft in this genre. First making a splash as the winner of the Joker’s Comedy Championship in 2013, Barnes was quickly noticed and went on to perform at major festivals such as Rocking the Daisies and the Grahamstown National Arts Festival in the same year.

This helped him showcase his talents nationwide, subsequently building him a loyal and dedicated fan base – both at theatres and clubs throughout the country, as well as online.
